No. 8: Quarterback Dak Prescott

No, I’m not saying quarterback Dak Prescott is in line for a bad year. It’s just not likely he’ll repeat the same success he experienced in 2016.

Teams are going to lock in on Prescott more this year and look to exploit his weaknesses. It wouldn’t be a shock to see him go through the proverbial “sophomore slump” after turning so many heads his rookie season.

For starters, the Dallas Cowboys offensive line won’t be quite as dominant as it was a year ago. Linemen Doug Free and Ronald Leary are no longer a part of the picture.

Some defensive problems entering 2017 mean the Cowboys offense won’t see the field quite as much over the course of the regular season. This takes opportunities and points away from Prescott, who has ADP rankings within the top 75 players.

Prescott wouldn’t be a bad idea under center as a reserve or bye-week fill in. But it’s best to put your early quarterback investments in someone else this season.
