No. 2: Running Back Spencer Ware

Running back Spencer Ware finally had his breakout season for the Kansas City Chiefs last year, coming 79 yards short of 1,000 rushing yards and averaging 4.3 yards per carry. In addition, his 447 receiving yards made him a nice sleeper pick in 2016, if you were lucky enough to grab him late.

For some reason, though, this production is convincing fantasy owners Ware is worth a high-end pick. His positional ADP, per Fantasy Pros, is 18.3.

That’s simply too high. Way too high.

Ware’s best games came over the first six weeks of the season last year. After Week 7, Ware never rushed for more than 70 yards and managed just two touchdowns.

It would be one thing if Ware was slated to be the bell cow for Kansas City’s offense. But by drafting former Toledo product Kareem Hunt, it’s clear the Chiefs have bigger plans for their first-year pro than Ware.

You might consider avoiding Ware altogether, unless you are in desperate need at the tail end of your draft.
