No. 5: Trent Taylor

Fifth-round NFL Draft picks are certainly not guarantees on a roster their rookie seasons, but that’s not going to be the case with wide receiver Trent Taylor.

Taylor, who led all of college football with 1,803 receiving yards in 2016, is replicating those same efforts in training camp.

Just check out this amazing catch at camp:

Taylor is showing a knack for hauling in almost everything thrown in his direction, and he could quickly rise up to be a top-tier receiving threat for the 49ers in coming seasons.

It’s not likely he challenges Jeremy Kerley for slot duties right away, but this discussion could heat up at some point during the regular season.

Regardless, Taylor’s roster spot is safe for now.
