No. 4: Wide Receiver Victor Bolden

Unlike Kendrick Bourne, wide receiver Victor Bolden does boast good speed — a trait head coach Kyle Shanahan covets.

Bolden underperformed a bit at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.54 40-yard time. And his 5-foot-8 frame isn’t exactly worthy of red-zone consideration.

But Bourne does have special teams abilities, which increases his chances dramatically.

And it isn’t as if he can’t get open.

As seen in this video below (h/t Niners Wire’s Rob Lowder), Bolden’s ability to get open against cornerback Will Redmond in this 1-on-1 drill is noteworthy enough for consideration:

Efforts like these could seriously shake up the back end of the wide receiver depth chart, and it wouldn’t be the worst decision to keep exploring Bolden as a possibility.
