Niner Noise looks at San Francisco 49ers training camp and identifies five UDFAs with the best chance to make the 53-man roster this upcoming season.

The San Francisco 49ers had one of the better hauls of undrafted free agents following the 2017 NFL Draft, and a number of those players are in a good position to make it through roster cuts.

With training camp underway, the Niners coaching staff is working hard to determine which players from the current 90-man roster should make the cut to 53 players in advance of the regular season.

Most UDFAs are intended to round out the offseason roster and to add camp competition. Some have a shot to land on the practice squad or impress the other 31 NFL teams enough to earn consideration there.

For the Niners, though, a number of UDFAs could actually find themselves in a spot to open up Week 1.

In this slideshow, we’ll look at five such players who have the best shot at making the roster. Determination will be based off need and overall performances during training camp.

We’ll start this off with a key competition at wide receiver.
