Becoming a complete receiver
In 2016, Robinson worked to become a complete receiver. The 49ers need Robinson to continue that progress in 2017.
Of the assumed locks at the wide receiver position, the 49ers don’t have a true backup for Pierre Garçon — Goodwin is still developing, and Jeremy Kerley and Trent Taylor are primarily slot receivers. Robinson is the only receiver on the roster who has NFL experience running the routes necessary for that role:

Next: 49ers film room: WR Marquise Goodwin
Wide receiver Aldrick Robinson has the skills — and the attitude — to play a major role for the San Francisco 49ers in 2017.
