What’s the best matchup for each NFL franchise based off team name alone?

New Orleans Saints vs. New Jersey Devils

Back to our NFL and NHL comparisons, the ideal matchup for the New Orleans Saints would, of course, be the New Jersey Devils.

Again, we’d have to figure out where such a contest would be played. Should we give quarterback Drew Brees a hockey stick? And how good would a Saints defense be on ice?

Maybe former Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur would look good as an NFL safety. He was, after all, one of the best last lines of defense in all of sports during his storied career.

And to determine the winner? Well, who has the Almighty’s blessing?
