No. 1: Frank Gore

Kaepernick could have been the No. 1 player on the all-time Harbaugh-era list of players, but that would be based off hype alone.

If stats are your think, who else could be the top player on this list other than running back Frank Gore? After all, he’s only the franchise leader in rushing yards.

In addition to those 11,073 ground yards and 64 touchdowns while wearing a Niners jersey for 10 years, Gore managed to make five Pro Bowls, including two in 2006 and 2009 when the 49ers were bad.

The other three? During the Harbaugh years, of course.

Gore was the bell cow of a Harbaugh and Roman-led offense — one that called for a bruising running game to wear down opponents’ defenses and take control of the clock. Few in Niners history have done it better than Gore.

He left the team as a free agent before the 2015 season, but Niners fans still consider Gore on of their own as he continues to pile up the numbers.
