With 10 players selected in the NFL Draft, a majority of them have a real chance to make an impact this upcoming season for the San Francisco 49ers. Let’s take a swing at predicting some rookie stat lines for 2017.

Heading into the draft, the 49ers had needs at a load of positions. Starters and backups were sought after. Following the draft, it appears that most of them were satisfied with what was available.

The defense was yearning to be addressed, and it certainly was with the selections of defensive linemen Solomon Thomas, D.J. Jones and Pita Taumoepenu, linebacker Reuben Foster, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and safety Adrian Colbert.

On the other side of the ball, retooling was needed, and it seems the team has gotten some “value picks” — draftees selected in later rounds who exceed their expected projections. Wide receiver Trent Taylor, tight end George Kittle and running back Joe Williams are some potential nominees for the aforementioned moniker.

In all, the group of rookies San Francisco has right now is promising. Here’s a prediction of how they might fare this season.
