The San Francisco 49ers still have major questions surrounding their offensive line heading into the 2017 season.
Despite some offseason moves, the Niners only have one position purely solidified heading into training camp — Joe Staley at left tackle. And while the competition at other spots is good, the options aren’t exactly awe-inspiring.
It’s the biggest unit still in flux, which was an argument I made over at 49ers Webzone earlier this offseason.
Keep in mind, Football Outsiders ranked San Francisco’s O-line 30th in pass protection last year and dead last in run support. Even with some of the personnel changes, it’s hard to envision a complete turn of fortunes for head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co.
