Tom Savage. . Houston Texans. 26. team. 10.

Like the Broncos, the Houston Texans are in position to contend for a Super Bowl right now. Houston has an elite defense and a solid crop of wide receivers.

The only thing missing here is a quarterback.

So it makes sense the Texans moved up to draft former Clemson standout, Deshaun Watson, in Round 1 of the NFL Draft. He’s the team’s future, and some feel he may be ready to start as soon as Week 1.

Instead, reports seem to suggest that job goes to veteran QB, Tom Savage.

That’s a mistake for the Texans. Instead of Savage, Houston needs to let Watson develop in real-life situations when the surrounding cast around him is as good as it will ever be for a long time.
