NFL 2017 quarterback power rankings for every team
By Peter Panacy
Like Marcus Mariota, I’m very excited to see what Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will do this season.
Two years removed from being selected first overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, Winston’s efforts last year did enough to suggest he can be a top-five quarterback in the NFL at some point soon.
Winston has a great arm and both the strength and elusiveness to make him a tough target to bring down for opponents’ pass-rushers. All this helped the Buccaneers climb from a 6-10 record two years ago to a 9-7 mark in 2016.
Things should get even better for Winston and Co. this season.
The Bucs brought over veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson in free agency, and they also added standout Alabama tight end O.J. Howard in the draft.
These weapons, paired with the up-and-coming Mike Evans, make Winston all the more potent.
