The Buffalo Bills did the right thing by bringing back quarterback Tyrod Taylor this offseason.

He has all the tools to be a good quarterback at the NFL level. Taylor needs to just showcase this on a more consistent basis.

Some sort of consistency in the coaching staff should help too. First-year head coach Sean McDermott is defensive minded. But offensive coordinator Rick Dennison is well respected and should be a boost for Taylor’s abilities this season, as pointed out by NFL.com’s Kevin Patra.

The Bills added some weapons to go along with running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver Sammy Watkins, namely Eastern Carolina’s Zay Jones in Round 2 of the NFL Draft.

All this should help the dual-threat quarterback live up to expectations this season. But there’s still a major hump to get over.
