Niner Noise takes a look around the NFL and dishes out quarterback power rankings for each team just ahead of the 2017 season.

It’s simple — if your team has a good-to-elite quarterback, your chances to make the NFL playoffs increase dramatically.

Teams like the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks are perennial postseason contenders for a number of reasons, but having a franchise QB under center is a big one.

Yet if your team doesn’t have this kind of quarterback, chances are you’re looking for one.

In this slideshow, Niner Noise takes a look around the entire NFL and breaks down power rankings for each quarterback and his situation entering 2017.

You can expect teams like the Patriots and Packers to be at the top of this list. And there are a few bottom dwellers as well.

Teams like the Cleveland Browns seem to be searching for a franchise-type QB on a seemingly yearly basis.

But the Browns aren’t actually on the bottom of these power rankings. How shocking.

Instead, the situation with the New York Jets is about as bad as it gets.
