Cleveland Browns

Is Myles Garrett going to be a true centerpiece?

The Cleveland Browns did the right thing with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by selecting former Texas A&M EDGE Myles Garrett.

Garrett was a no-brainer pick for a Browns team needing all the help they can get, well, everywhere.

In truth, Cleveland had a pretty solid draft class. Safety Jabrill Peppers has versatility, tight end David Njoku is a good weapon and the team has its future quarterback in DeShone Kizer.

But all the focus will be on Garrett.

If Garrett produces anywhere near the expectation level, Browns fans can finally admit the start of this massive rebuild project is underway and the team is heading in the right direction.

If not, well, there’s always next year.

Again.
