Chicago Bears

How long until Mitchell Trubisky starts?

Well, Chicago Bears, you certainly took the road less traveled in the NFL Draft.

OK, so we can make fun of the Bears for giving up three picks to move up from No. 3 to No. 2 in Round 1 of the draft. And we can continue the nitpicking that goes along with Chicago taking former North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky way ahead of his true value.

But all that happened. We can’t change it. And so the Bears are left with a question. How long until he’s starting.

Remember, Chicago signed QB Mike Glennon to a three-year, $45 million contract this offseason. He’s poised to be the starter in Week 1 but hasn’t taken starting reps since 2014.

The Bears are in full rebuild mode, but things haven’t been great in Chicago for a while now. That means impatient fans, and they’ll want to see what they have in the latest big NFL Draft investment.

If Glennon struggles early, let Trubisky’s name be called.

Oh, that might not be so good either.
