Green Bay Packers

How will the Packers running game perform?

The Green Bay Packers went through a slew of changes this offseason. Key among these were the losses of notable contributors like linebacker Julius Peppers, offensive lineman T.J. Lang and running back Eddie Lacy.

But the addition of tight end Martellus Bennett should make quarterback Aaron Rodgers even more potent. And that’s a scary thought.

Rodgers would benefit from the return of a strong running game though, and it’s a position Green Bay tried to address via the NFL Draft.

Capping off this young group of rookie draftees is former BYU tailback Jamaal Williams.

Williams is promising, even though he was selected in Round 4 in what turned out to be a deep class at the position. And at 212 pounds, he looks every bit the part of a bruising runner.

The Packers offense would ideally like to incorporate more of a rushing approach this season, especially as Rodgers ages.

So look for Williams to be a key factor in determining how Green Bay’s offense fares in 2017.
