No. 4: Kermit Alexander

49ers Tenure: 1963 – 1969

Pro Bowl Selections: 1

A first-round draft selection in 1963 (No. 8 overall), Kermit Alexander formed a partnership with another member of this list, one who happens to be a legend in his own right. Playing alongside that legend for seven seasons, Alexander amassed over 30 interceptions.

Thirty-six interceptions to be exact, a figure only bested by two other individuals in franchise history.

He too like Woodson was known for his return abilities, also leading the league in several categories at some point during his career.

His best season came in 1968, when he led the team with nine interceptions, made his first and only Pro Bowl, and was named to second-team All-Pro.
