Los Angeles Rams — Quarterback Jared Goff

It’s still amazing to think of the capital the Los Angeles Rams gave up to land quarterback Jared Goff a year ago in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Goff walked into a bad situation a year ago. Then-head coach Jeff Fisher was on the way out, and the offense — including running back Todd Gurley — was in bad shape.

One may argue Gurley would be a player to watch here, especially with the hopes of him returning to his rookie form. But Goff gets the nod based solely on the investment Los Angeles made in landing him.

And it isn’t as if Goff’s rookie season, albeit with limited numbers, inspires a lot of hope.

The Rams made a lot of effort to get Goff some weapons during this year’s draft, including tight end Gerald Everett and wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Solidified as the starter, the pressure will be on Goff to see whether or not he can turn the page.
