Denver Broncos — Quarterback Paxton Lynch

The Denver Broncos invested a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft in quarterback Paxton Lynch, and there’s still enough reason to assume he’s the long-term solution under center for first-year head coach Vance Joseph.

Joseph indicated there will be a competition for the starting job between Lynch and fellow starter Trevor Siemian this offseason.

That’s good, as competition always is. And both QBs have their share of starts from a year ago.

The only problem is neither was particularly great under center for a Denver offense that lacked any sort of continuous momentum.

Joseph will want the best option under center this year, as the Broncos defense is still prolific enough to keep Denver in playoff contention. The Broncos window is now.

Still, Lynch is the future. Not Siemian. And the second-year pro will be the guy to watch in 2017.
