The San Francisco 49ers have finished up their efforts, following free agency and the NFL Draft, to overhaul the 2017 roster. Niner Noise takes a look back at the offseason so far and offers up grades and analysis.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch certainly isn’t acting like a first-year front-office executive.

Lynch has quickly transformed a laughingstock of a 49ers franchise into a team with decent respect, thanks largely to getting rid of over 50 percent of the roster from last February.

His actions in free agency and the NFL Draft should be commended. Without taking one step on the field in a meaningful contest, the Niners already look like a competent squad under first-year head coach Kyle Shanahan.

So let’s look back and see what should be made of Lynch’s efforts up until this point in this slideshow breaking down the offseason. We’ll provide analysis and grade out the inclusive actions in each category — roster cuts, free agency and the NFL Draft itself.

Sure, a number of things will change between now and Week 1 of the regular season. The 90-man offseason roster will be tweaked, but the vast majority of changes have taken place already.

Let’s kick things off with how the Niners either got rid of players, or let them walk via free agency, prior to the NFL Draft.
