Key NFL Draft Additions: WR Mike Williams, OG Forrest Lamp, OG Dan Feeney

The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t have a bad NFL Draft, per se, but they still manage to fall in our NFL power rankings simply because other teams managed to improve themselves a bit better.

Wide receiver Mike Williams was a great pickup but probably a bit too high at No. 7 overall. He was probably better off between pick Nos. 10 to 20. But hey, he’s another weapon for quarterback Philip Rivers.

Keeping Rivers upright was another priority for Los Angeles. The selections of offensive linemen Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney should help alleviate this quite a bit.

But will these moves be enough to stay anywhere near contention in a tough, physical AFC West? ‘

Probably not.
