Key NFL Draft Additions: EDGE Myles Garrett, S Jabrill Peppers, TE David Njoku, QB DeShone Kizer

It’s been a long while since the Cleveland Browns weren’t at the very bottom of our NFL power rankings.

And that’s in large measure to a very good NFL Draft class.

Taking Texas A&M EDGE Myles Garrett at No. 1 was a no-brainer. Anything else would have been stupid. Trading up to land Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers was a little odd. But considering the Browns’ overwhelming needs on the defensive side of the ball, Peppers can at least add some versatility.

Tight end David Njoku was a great pickup too. He’ll be a solid player for years to come.

The Browns also landed arguably the best skilled quarterback in Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer. Cleveland has traditionally been the place where young QBs go to die, but things look as if they’re starting to change for head coach Hue Jackson’s squad.
