Key NFL Draft Additions: DT Malik McDowell, OL Ethan Pocic, CB Shaquill Griffin, S Delano Hill

The Seattle Seahawks had one pressing issue to address in the NFL Draft, and they were largely victimized by a weak draft class for this unit.

We’re talking about the offensive line, of course, and Seattle’s was one of the worst in the league last season. In an ideal world, the Seahawks would have landed two or three players who could be immediate upgrades. But they couldn’t get their hands on someone like Utah’s Garett Bolles, so that didn’t help.

Offensive lineman Ethan Pocic (Round 3) should help. He can play anywhere along the line, so that gives O-line coach Tom Cable some options. And defensive tackle Malik McDowell makes an already strong front seven all the more fearsome.

Adding defensive backs Shaquill Griffin and Delano Hill could make incumbents like Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor think twice about their long-term future up north.

Still, Seattle falls a spot in our NFL power rankings largely due to its biggest need and not having the best of options from which to choose.
