Key NFL Draft Additions: ILB Jarrad Davis, CB Teez Tabor

The Detroit Lions needed to make a number of splashes on the defensive side of the ball, and the only one of note was linebacker Jarrad Davis.

Davis should be a nice player. But he doesn’t offer too much in the pass rush, which was a major issue for Detroit a year ago. And it isn’t as if the Lions’ other draft picks addressed this problem either.

Cornerback Teez Tabor might have been a nice Round 2 pickup last October. But his draft stock has fallen dramatically, and his poor NFL Scouting Combine performance should make one think the Lions would have been better off using that pick elsewhere.

Detroit could fall a bit this season, which explains their notable drop in our NFL power rankings.
