42. . EDGE. Alabama. Tim Williams. 66. player

By now, if you’re still following this NFL mock draft, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy for taking three defensive players in the first three rounds.

Taking a BPA (Best Player Available) approach, I’ve taken these players in the draft so far. Williams is universally regarded as having first-round talent, but will slip to the third round due to off-the-field issues.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has spoken to teams in the recent weeks and believes that Williams could be available in the early part of the third round.

Williams could be a force next year for a group of pass-rushers that desperately needs it. He’s combined for 18.5 sacks the past two seasons and has only scratched the surface of what he can be.
