Round 1, Pick No. 2
Although I’ve strongly been in the Malik Hooker bandwagon, it looks like the 49ers might draft the other top safety prospect. As the draft gets closer and closer, more of the draft experts continue to think that Adams to SF is a high possibility.
Although Hooker might be viewed as the better scheme fit, Adams is viewed as a better overall safety.
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks have the 49ers taking Adams with the No. 2 overall pick.
To add on to this, a former NFL scout, Greg Gabriel, went to add that Adams might be a possibility for the 49ers:
Was told tonight by person who gave me Fournette to SF was bad info. The thinking is they will select Adams at 2.

49ers’ current safety Eric Reid was asked about the possibility of Adams (h/t Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News) on Wednesday, during the team’s voluntary workouts, to which he responded:
Eric Reid confirms #49ers using him as in-box safety, their version of Kam Chancellor. Reid wants fellow LSU product Jamal Adams at #2 draft

Seems like the steam keeps building for Adams at No. 2, who looks to be John Lynch’s first pick as the GM.
