16. . 7-9. . Buffalo Bills. 23. team

The Buffalo Bills are one wide receiver away from having a pretty good offense.

With quarterback Tyrod Taylor returning, and wide receiver Sammy Watkins looking to bounce back in 2017, the Bills offense could actually be a solid group with this addition via the draft.

Tack on running back LeSean McCoy, and we can see why.

Yet the main problem — and primary reason why the Bills drop in our NFL power rankings — is on defense.

Sure, the Bills brought in former Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott to “right the ship” here. But Buffalo lost key defensive contributors Zach Brown and Stephon Gilmore this offseason and wasn’t able to replace them via free agency.

The good news is both Brown and Gilmore’s positions are relatively deep in this year’s draft, so the Bills shouldn’t have much trouble tabling those needs until the middle rounds.

An early pick in the draft should go to a playmaking wide receiver.
