2017 NFL Draft: Final Round 1 Mock for All 32 Picks
By Peter Panacy
The Carolina Panthers have a few needs within their secondary, but a deep NFL Draft class in the defensive backfield means general manager Dave Gettleman can afford to push that need out a round or two.
Instead, the Panthers look to get some help on offense for quarterback Cam Newton.
Carolina’s unique running game would be an ideal fit for LSU tailback Leonard Fournette — widely viewed as the best running back in this year’s draft.
Fournette would take the pressure off Newton and could open up the Panthers offense in a similar fashion to what fans saw back in 2015.
