20. player. 45. . Offensive Tackle. Wisconsin. Ryan Ramczyk

The Denver Broncos’ experiment to add former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Russell Okung via free agency in 2016 didn’t work. And it’s not likely the addition of former Oakland Raiders OT Menelik Watson will make much of a difference either.

Denver’s defense is still good, which means this pick is best spent on an offensive talent. And that should start up front with Wisconsin’s Ryan Ramczyk.

This NFL Draft doesn’t have a lot of depth at tackle, which means general manager John Elway can’t wait until later rounds to address this pressing need.

With Denver’s first-round investment in quarterback Paxton Lynch a year ago, Elway and Co. need to start putting the pieces in place to protect Lynch and get the Broncos’ sub-par running game back on track.

Ramczyk is a good start to doing just that.
