2017 NFL Draft: Final Round 1 Mock for All 32 Picks
By Peter Panacy
The Browns got the best player in the NFL Draft with the No. 1 overall pick, Myles Garrett, and use their second first-round pick to grab another need.
Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had only one year of starting at North Carolina. But all the signs are pointing to him being an effective NFL-caliber signal-caller. He has good arm strength, accuracy and poise within the pocket.
The only question is whether or not Trubisky will follow the same path of so many other QBs taken by the Browns.
Not if head coach Hue Jackson has a say in it.
Sure, the Browns still have a plethora of needs, especially on offense. Trubisky needs protection and weapons to surround him.
But Cleveland won’t be pressed into starting him right away. The Browns can start building a team around him.
