Round 1 Pick 2 – CB Marshon Lattimore (Ohio State)

The secret has been out for a long time, Marshon Lattimore is the best cornerback in the draft.

The Ohio State defensive back has the length and athleticism to hold up on the outside. He is able to turn from press and stay with receivers downfield, and also has the closing burst to drive on the ball from off.

With four interceptions in his sole season as a starter, Lattimore has the ball skills to make spectacular plays and – after the Niners released former starter Tramaine Brock, there is a very realistic chance San Francisco upgrades its secondary by adding a Buckeye to the back end.
