No. 6: Tight End O.J. Howard, Alabama

One of the few players in Round 1 with no feasible links with the 49ers is Alabama tight end O.J. Howard.

Sure, Howard is the best tight end in this year’s class. And San Francisco could use an upgrade over returnees Vance McDonald and Garrett Celek.

Niner Noise provided a prospect breakdown for Howard, and even that article speculates the Niners won’t have any interest here. Especially not at No. 2.

It’s highly unlikely San Francisco goes this route.
