No. 26: EDGE Takkarist McKinley, UCLA

See how deep the edge-rushing position is in this year’s draft?

UCLA’s Takkarist McKinley is an intriguing option for San Francisco. On the EDGE, McKinley could easily use his 6-foot-2, 250-pound frame to get around blockers and converge on the quarterback or ball-carrier.

One pressing concern is the shoulder injury that might hinder his ability to start in Week 1 of the 2017 season.

But if that checks out…

San Francisco has a need at LEO, and McKinley could fit the bill here. Yet there haven’t been any reports linking the two sides, so all is quiet for now.
