No. 21: Offensive Tackle Cam Robinson, Alabama

As noted previously, the 49ers might consider adding some help to their offensive line this offseason. It’s far from a perfect unit.

And one of those moves could be bringing in Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson.

San Francisco held a pre-draft visit with Robinson, as Niner Noise broke down earlier this month.

Covered in the breakdown, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Robinson would meet with San Francisco.

But Robinson also comes with off-the-field issues, which have to be of concern. And he might end up being a better guard at the NFL level. The tape doesn’t reveal a great fit within a zone system anyway, which makes the fit with Kyle Shanahan’s offense more than questionable.

Yet San Francisco has some reported interest, so it’s something worth watching until further notice.
