No. 19: Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, Alabama

The 49ers need cornerbacks — we’ve covered that already — and could be looking at someone outside of the top 10 to land in what is shaping up to be a deep crop of prospects.

Alabama’s Marlon Humphrey is quite raw and probably won’t be an ideal starter right away, as his coverage skills are lacking a bit. But the intangibles are there, including his impressive 4.41 40-yard dash time at the combine.

Humphrey hasn’t been linked to the Niners this offseason just yet. But one has to think he’d cause a bit of San Francisco intrigue if he ended up falling into the second round.
