2017 NFL Draft: The Top 32 Prospects and How the 49ers Are Linked to Each
By Peter Panacy
No. 13: Linebacker Zach Cunningham, Linebacker
Vanderbilt linebacker Zach Cunningham may not wind up being a day-one prospect, but that doesn’t take away from his likable attributes meeting the 49ers’ needs.
Like the case with Reuben Foster, San Francisco needs some substantial help at this position.
According to Jared Tokarz of NFL Draft Insider, the Niners met with Cunningham at the NFL Scouting Combine.
There haven’t been any reported meetings since, which could push Cunningham down on San Francisco’s draft board a bit.
But if he falls into Round 2, it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all for the 49ers to make a move and address this critical need.
