The San Francisco 49ers have had some great NFL Draft classes over their storied history. But there have been more than a few busts as well. Here are the five worst ones ever.

It’s NFL Draft season, and the San Francisco 49ers are gearing up to add notable talent to a roster in need of help.

One can hope the 2017 season will offer a great draft class under now-general manager John Lynch and his scouting department. The Niners need this to happen.

What San Francisco doesn’t need is a repeat of any of the draft busts seen by the franchise in recent years and even before.

Yes, even a team as storied as the 49ers have their fair share of NFL Draft failures.

Fans may recall one terrible pick from Round 1 back in 2012. Yes, you can bet that selection will be on here. And there’s more.

We’ll even go back a few years to determine which players wound up being the biggest draft busts in franchise history.

And with this in mind, let’s hope Lynch and Co. can avoid any replication of this when the Niners’ number is called on April 27.
