Cover32 Four-Round Mock

Produced by the Cover32 staff, this four-round mock was released a few days ago.

This is who they had the 49ers selecting:

Round 1, No. 2: Solomon Thomas (defensive line)

Round 2, No. 34: Patrick Mahomes III (quarterback)

Round 3, No. 66: Kareem Hunt (running back)

Round 4, No. 109: Quincy Wilson (cornerback)

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes III and running back Kareem Hunt are the compelling picks here. Mahomes III has seen his stock rise as of late, due in part to his throwing power. Fahey breaks down the prospect, someone he doesn’t have too much confidence in:

Hunt has seen his visibility as a prospect grow since a solid Senior Bowl performance. Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing in at 201 pounds, the Toledo product would be the quick punch to Carlos Hyde’s bruising running ability.

There’s also the ability of duality, with Hunt’s agility being used in the receiving game.
