Niners Nation Two-Round Mock

David Fucillo over at Niners Nation, apart of SB Nation, brought together 32 site members to partake in a mock draft for all 32 teams.

As posted on the site, Niners Nation is publishing ten selections a day. Right now, the first 64 picks have been made. San Francisco is next at No. 66.

The 49ers’ selections were made by the user “Joe Montana is GOAT.”

Here are those selections:

Round 1, No. 2: Malik Hooker (safety)

Round 2, No. 34: DeShone Kizer (quarterback)

Alongside Solomon Thomas, Ohio State’s Malik Hooker has been a popular choice among in first-round mock drafts.

The safety, who only became a starter this past season, has skyrocketed up draft boards due to his potential and instincts on the field. Hooker would fill the Earl Thomas-role needed in defensive coordinator Robert Saleh’s new 4-3 defense that will be implemented.

DeShone Kizer, as well as Mitchell Trubisky and DeShaun Watson, are being targeted as this year’s top quarterbacks. As every NFL team does, Kyle Shanahan is going to want a quarterback that he believes in to lead his offense.

Below is a part of a thread from Cian Fahey, who created Pre-Snap Reads which analyzes NFL quarterbacks, on Kizer and his play:
