Luke Joeckel

It pains me to write this as a sportswriter and as a diehard 49er. The Seattle Seahawks have added an upgrade to their left tackle position and it comes cost effective price.

Veteran left tackle Luke Joeckel has played his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it is fair to say that he has not lived to his draft-day expectations.

Coming into FA, Joeckel has a PFF grade of 68.3 as a guard. Nevertheless, Joeckel will still be an upgrade over what the Seahawks have been rolling out at LT.

LUKE JOECKEL. A. Luke Joeckel is the definition of a low-risk, high-reward signing. His time with the Jags has not gone well but also the Seahawks have not used offensive lineman to you know play as offensive lineman. At least Joeckel is an offensive lineman. If line coach, Tom Cable can get production out of converted defensive lineman, he may be able to recover Joeckel’s career.. LT/LG. Seattle Seahawks
