Niner Noise breaks down the start of the NFL free agency period by grading each player signed on day one of free agency starting with pre-free agency!

The difference from former San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke and current general manager John Lynch can be surmised in one word — cajones.

Lynch is simply not messing around. Where many are just flapping their gums, Lynch is backing his talk with action.

As reported by Niners Nation, Lynch cautioned 49ers fans to “stay awake,” when the NFL free agency period started on March 9. He went on to explain that, “We need players. We’ve got to get ourselves in a situation with certain pieces that we’ve made priorities, and certain type of guys so that we don’t go into this draft saying, ‘We have to have this.’”

What Lynch failed to inform fans is that they were going to start getting busy on March 8. They went full-on, Black Friday spending mode the day before FA even started.

However, this piece will cover more than just the red and gold. Today, Niner Noise will grade all the “big” signings and trades from the first day of free agency starting off with the Browns and Texans’ moneyball trade!

But, seriously stay awake as the 49ers are prepared to spend big this offseason!
