It’s an exciting time to be a 49ers fan.
Free agency is just around the corner. And not only does San Francisco have the money, they seem to have found a GM that’s willing to spend it.
According to Spotrac.com, the 49ers have the second-most cap space in the NFL, second to only the Cleveland Browns.

In addition, new GM John Lynch is a shop-a-holic compared to his predecessor.
The official free-agency period hasn’t even started yet, but he’s already signed defensive tackle Earl Mitchell to a four-year deal, as well as re-signing wide receiver Jeremy Kerley.
The Mitchell signing was key because he had interest from multiple franchises and yet still decided to come to San Francisco.
While there are plenty of good free agent options for the 49ers, there are also a handful of players they must be wary of.
