NFL free agency is set to kick off on Thursday, March 9. Niner Noise takes a look around the league to see what the biggest need is for each and every team across the board.
The NFL offseason certainly provides plenty of speculation and interest, and teams are going to be lining up to land key free agents when the league’s free-agency period kicks off.
Free agency officially starts at 4 p.m. ET on March 9. Teams can enter into negotiations with players two days before, but nothing official can take place until that time.
And that’s why fans so often receive signing reports mere moments after the free-agency kickoff time.

So what are the biggest needs for all 32 teams? And how can each team go about addressing that need in free agency?
It’s time to look into that question and make some determinations on how each NFL squad will handle this critical offseason period.
Some teams are better equipped to do so than others. Teams like the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers have a plethora of cap space. Others, like the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers, have little more than wiggle room and will likely be less active.
