Host a Prop-Bet Pool

This one is easy and should be mandatory for all Super Bowl get-togethers.

Type up a list of Vegas-like bets on a sheet of paper. You should have a bunch of things people would normally bet on in a game like this. Stuff like:

  • Which team scores first
  • Which player scores the first touchdown
  • Over/under on Tom Brady or Matt Ryan’s passing yards
  • Over/under combined touchdowns on the game
  • Super Bowl winner
  • Super Bowl MVP
  • TIEBREAKER: Combined score of the game

Print out enough sheets and hand them out to each one of your attendees. Have each person put in a small amount of money — like $10 — into a pot.

Make sure these are filled out by everyone and handed in before kickoff.

Once the game is complete, tally up each person’s bets and see who got the most correct. You can dish out cash in a winner-take-all scenario or have smaller prizes for the second- and third-place winners too.

Whatever you decide, just have fun. That’s what the Super Bowl is all about.
