NFL Power Rankings: Where Do All 32 Teams Sit Entering Week 14?
By Peter Panacy
Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch got a second start over Trevor Siemian (shoulder) in a hopeful move to give the first-round pick some adequate playing time against a bad Jaguars team.
Lynch wasn’t exactly stellar, going 12-of-24 for 104 yards, but he didn’t have to be. Even if Denver’s offense managed to go a measly 1-of-13 on third downs.
Instead, the Broncos defense did the majority of the work in Jacksonville and held the Jaguars to just 10 points despite being outgained 333 yards to 206. Forcing three Jaguars turnovers certainly helped, and that’s what one should hope for out of Denver’s defense.
The vaunted AFC West is no joke. And the Broncos still have a lot of remaining work on their schedule to ensure they get the highest seed possible. The last three games are going to be critical.
