Active Roster: Eric Reid, Antoine Bethea, Jaquiski Tartt

Cut: L.J. McCray

The 49ers had no real questions to answer at safety, which is one of the stronger position groups on the roster.

Eric Reid and Antoine Bethea remain the starters, with the versatile Jaquiski Tartt and starting corner Ward serving as the backups.

L.J. McCray has significant special teams value and is an extremely physical hitter, and the final roster spot could come down to a question of him versus a second-string offensive player.
