By Peter Panacy
Niner Noise takes a look at five San Francisco 49ers to watch as the red and gold battle it out against the Denver Broncos in Week 2 of the 2016 NFL preseason.
NFL preseason football is merely about fine tuning a team’s efforts on the field and determining which players should make the cut when the regular season rolls around, right?
Absolutely. But it’s more than just that.
The preseason affords teams the luxury of putting likely starters and backups into situations they might/will face in the regular season without, you know, the actual results truly meaning anything.
Week 2 of the preseason is even more critical than the rest. This week marks the exhibition game most closely resembling that of the regular season.

At least for a quarter.
Let’s dive into five 49ers worth paying a little extra attention to during this preseason bout. Yes, some are likely starters.
But not all of them.
