Defensive Line

  1. Arik Armstead
  2. Quinton Dial
  3. DeForest Buckner

After sitting Week 1 out to rest a minor shoulder injury, Arik Armstead will return to his role along the defensive line for preseason Week 2. This will allow Quinton Dial to move back in the middle at nose tackle and rookie DeForest Buckner on the other end position.

This should be what the starting defensive line looks like throughout the 2016 season. Buckner played well in his first action as a 49er. He adjusted well and played physical, enough to earn him the starting role for the second week.
