With one game already in the books, the San Francisco 49ers head to Denver to face the defending Super Bowl champs in the Broncos for Week 2 of the preseason. The 49ers starting offense will be facing one of the best defenses in the NFL today, and it looks to be a true test.

Most of the starters played fairly well against the Houston Texans, and the 49ers defense held the Texans to zero offensive touchdowns in the first half.

As the second and third units came in, there seemed to be a drop off of production, but there were a few standouts within those units that really proved their case to crack the top spot on the 49ers depth chart.

Which players made their case to start? Which current starters cemented their spot?

Find out as Niner Noise predicts the starting lineup heading into Week 2 of the 2016 NFL preseason.
